Encourage and build up one another.  1 Thessalonians 5:11

Parents at Home mission is to provide Christian support for parents in our church and community, through fellowship, prayer, worship, and service. We reach out to stay at home parents that feel they could use some encouragement and friendship. We seek to build up all parents in various ways through this ministry.

On this page, we offer a variety of information so you can discover what an exciting, unique ministry this is for stay at home parents. Some of the information available here includes:

Childcare

Childcare for infants and toddlers is provided in our well-staffed nursery. Childcare for toddlers includes planned activities and crafts as well as large motor activity. Suggested donation of $3 per child.

If you have school age children and they are out of school and you would still like to attend Parents at Home that day, please pre-register your child with the nursery director.

Care Circles

Care Circles are smaller groups within the Parents at Home group that allow you to develop closer friendships and fellowship.  Each Care Circle is responsible for a certain month.  In this month the Care Circle plans a presentation to the group, and also chooses a service project for the month.  Information on the service projects and Care Circle presentations can be found on the monthly calendar.

Schedule

Each week we have a different  "class" planned. Some classes are taught by group participants while other times we invite guest speakers. Each week there is always time for fellowship and prayer. Please view this month' schedule below:

Testimonial

"I am a stay at home mom to three children.  I have been at home since the birth of my first child 6yrs ago.  What has it meant for me to be a part of Parents At Home?  I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to be at home with my children, being a part of everything they do.  Often times it is a lonely and thankless career choice.  Just a year ago I was nearing burn-out, feeling sad, left behind and questioning whether or not I had made the right choice.  Then enters Parents At Home, where once each week I can join in fellowship, fun, bible study and 2 hrs without children!  It's where I feel I belong, everyone there can relate.  It's a shoulder to cry on, a place to laugh, understanding, and Christian fellowship.  Another important piece of Parents At Home is the yearly Hearts At Home conference.  Last year was the first for us.  Hundreds of stay at home parents meet in Rochester, MN. for a weekend of fellowship thru Christ.  We attend workshops related to parenting and spend sometime in prayer and music.  It was a life changing experience for me.  I came home rejuvenated and ready to tackle my home and my roll as MOM in a new light.  I knew God was going to lead me thru another year as a stay at home mom."

Sanity Savers

Sanity Savers provides support to parents within our group and also people outside of our group in times of need. For example: the birth of a child, hospitalization, deployment of a spouse, and other circumstances. Examples of sanity savers are things like providing childcare for a day out, providing meals or simply sending a card for encouragement.

Hearts at Home Conference

Hearts At Home Conference: We attend the annual conference for stay at home parents in Rochester, MN.  It is a life changing experience for many of us.  For more information on the conference please visit Hearts at Home.
