We are Awana Cubbies
We're happy all day long
We know that Jesus loves us
That's why we sing this song
We hop because we're happy
And we jump and shout for joy
For Jesus is a friend to us
He loves each girl and boy

Cubbies Club is the beginning of a wonderful journey that includes great fun mixed in with purposeful learning. This club is specially designed for boys and girls between ages three and five (potty trained and entering Kindergarten no later than Fall 2013), and we are always amazed at how much these young children learn by the end of the Club year. Games, puppets, crafts, themed snacks, awards and other activities transform our preschool club into a lively experience where fun and learning go hand-in-hand.

God is very personal to these youngsters.  The Cubbies ministry plants seeds of faith in young minds concerning God, Jesus Christ and the Bible.  Your preschooler will come to understand God's great love for each one of them.  They will learn that they can talk to God through prayer and that God talks to them through the Bible.

The Bible centered handbooks and activities help your children begin to build a solid understanding of the basics of Christianity at an early age. The handbooks provide Bible memorization curriculum and stimulating activities specifically for preschoolers. The children enjoy the zoo motif and interacting with Cubbie Bear and his puppet friends each week.
The handbooks teach basic yet exciting Bible truths along with popular preschool concepts such as colors, shapes, numbers and letters. By working with your child on the weekly handbook lessons, you become an active participant in your child’s spiritual development. Your help at home allows your child to have a more enriching and rewarding experience during Club on Wednesday evening.
We are "Sparks" for Jesus;
Sparks to light the world,
We will shine for Jesus,
as we tell each boy and girl!
We will hide God's Word in our hearts;
We will serve Him right from the start;
From His love we never can part for we are
Sparks! Sparks! Sparks! Sparks!
Sparks to light the world.

Sparks Club is specially designed for boys and girls in Kindergarten through 2nd grade. At this age children have lots of questions about everything; the when, where and what of events, places and people.  Sparks Clubbers enjoy moving between three sessions each evening. Their first session includes working individually with their leader, reciting memory work they have learned at home, and demonstrating comprehension of the material (Handbook Time). They then come together as a group for Bible-based instruction, testimonies, music and prayer (Council Time). They end with the most popular time of the evening as they compete in age appropriate, high energy team and individual games played on the Awana Game Square (Game Time).
Sparks Club is firmly grounded in Scripture. The three handbooks (HangGlider, WingRunner and SkyStormer) feature basic truths about God, Jesus Christ, salvation and the Bible. They include a clear and consistent presentation of the gospel message with an increased emphasis on Scripture memorization over the preschool materials. In three years, a Sparks clubber will learn and review over 160 verses, helping them to establish a foundation of biblical wisdom.

It is very exciting and rewarding to see young children memorize Scripture and begin to understand the truths in God's Word.  Many parents are amazed at how their children are able to remember verses, but it does take help at home.  The best way to help your children is to encourage them as they memorize their Scripture verses.  This could include helping them read the words, explaining the meaning of the verse, breaking down the verse into smaller sections and listening as they recite.  It only takes a few minutes each day, but the rewards for both parents and children last well beyond Awana.
I am off on the Ultimate Adventure!
Trusting Jesus all along the way.
To the truth of God’s Word I will surrender,
No matter where I am from day to day.

In the sky, undersea, in the wild, Christ with me.
Here at home, around the world,
His love is clear to see.
Won’t you come along with me on the Ultimate Adventure!

I will train for the mission He has for me.
I will trust in Him to give the victory.
As I read His Word and pray, He gives direction,
As I follow Him each and every day.

Truth & Training Club is specially designed for boys and girls in 3rd through 6th grade. The name Truth and Training reflects the passion of Awana to reach these kids with the truth of God’s Word and to train them to follow Christ in their daily lives. T&T Clubbers work through four handbooks of increasing difficulty which teach children that life’s ultimate adventure is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Truth & Training Club is divided into four groups:

T&T Ultimate Adventure is for boys and girls in 3rd and 4th grade. The boys meet with male leaders for handbook time, sing, and have large group together. They meet with the 5th and 6th grade boys for game time.

The girls meet with female leaders for handbook time, sing and have large group together. They meet with the 5th and 6th grade girls for game time.

T&T Ultimate Challenge is for boys and girls in 5th and 6th grades – all clubbers in this age group will follow their own schedule separate from the 3rd and 4th graders except for game time.

After opening ceremonies, the boys and girls with their gender specific leaders go to rooms 123 and 131. There are 4 leaders in each room who will mentor, listen to verses, and teach a club related lesson.

Evangelism and discipleship go hand in hand for T&T Clubbers. During the four years of T&T a clubber will learn and review approximately 420 verses, study dozens of passages from the Old and New Testament, regularly hear and read the gospel message, complete missions projects that help them see the world through God’s eyes, and discover the Bible’s response to questions like “How does God want me to live my life?”

Learning verses is challenging, so parents are encouraged to help their children learn and review their lessons at home. It is exciting and rewarding to watch your children grow in their understanding of the truth of God's Word as they memorize Scripture.
