The Integrated Approach to HealingatThanksgiving! Lutheran Church
Experience God’s transforming work in your life through the ministry of the IATH which focuses on four areas of tension that we all have and recognizes the high degree of interdependence that each area has with the other three areas. God has provided all that we need to have integrated healing and freedom through ministry to the following four key areas:
Generational Sins
This problem is rooted in the second commandment (Ex. 20:3-6), in which God visits the “iniquities of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generations.” God requires us to confess our ancestors’ sin as well as our own (Lev. 26:40). The ministers help you focus on the confession of sin (I John 1:9) and challenge you to appropriate Christ’s finished work on the Cross to break curses (Gal. 3:13) and recover “legal ground” from the enemy (Col. 2:14).
Ungodly Beliefs
All of us have formed Ungodly Beliefs from life’s circumstances, including ones we have inherited from our ancestors (i.e., parents, grandparents, etc.). These Ungodly Beliefs need to be changed into Godly Beliefs. This can be accomplished through a procedure of repentance and of renewing of the mind (Rom. 12:2).
Life’s Hurts
Jesus came to heal the brokenhearted (Luke 4:18). He heals the hurts of our soul and spirit as we “Wait upon the Lord” with “Listening Prayer”. He reveals what He wants to heal and then He heals what He has shown.
Demonic Oppression
After co-laboring with Christ to bring freedom and healing to the first three ministry areas in your life, the various demonic strongholds that are oppressing can be disassembled and destroyed (Mark 16:17).
Issue Focused Ministry is intended to focus on one issue or current area of tension that you are experiencing. It is accomplished in one 3-hour ministry session that addresses the four foundational areas.
Thorough Format Ministry is available for those desiring to be ministered to in more areas of their life. This ministry is broken into five 3-hour ministry sessions. Couples receiving ministry will each receive five 3-hour sessions along with two additional 2-hour joint sessions.
IATH ministers are not licensed or ordained counselors, social workers, or pastors. Each minister, however, has passed extensive training and qualification criteria for ministering the Integrated Approach to Healing.
Every ministry session will be led by two prayer ministers.
Every believer can benefit greatly from the IATH ministry. It is highly recommended for anyone who has attended a Cleansing Stream Retreat, anyone entering into any kind of ministry, and couples planning to marry.
Questions regarding the IATH ministry and/or scheduling an appointment may be directed to Pastor Bruce Kotila (discipleship@thanks-giving.org) or Nancy Pierce (nspierce1@gmail.com).
A decision to proceed with ministry will be followed by the receipt of a ministry application form. After you complete and return the application a ministry team will be assigned and dates/locations will be coordinated with you.
While there is no set cost for the T!LC family to receive ministry, there is a suggested donation. These funds will be used to ensure ongoing training for current and future prayer ministers.
No one desirous of receiving ministry will be turned away because of their inability to make a contribution.
